Resolved — This morning circa 10:00, we began receiving reports of users being unable to access or login to SAMIS on the Web. The reports showed the issue to intermittent and did not impact all users or result in a total loss of service. Following investigations with the Technical Resolver teams, an underlying configuration issue was determined to have contributed to these intermittent issues. The configuration issue became apparent as people were accessing the service more frequently than normal, due to the higher demand being placed upon the service following the release of exam results today. Our Technical resolver teams have since corrected the issue and stabilised the service by 12:15 today. Thank you for your patience; we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Monitoring — Today we received reports of users being unable to access or login to SAMIS on the Web intermittently. An underlying configuration issue appears to have contributed to these intermittent issues. The configuration issue became more apparent as people were accessing the service more frequently, due to the higher than normal demand being placed upon the service following the release of exam results today. Our Technical resolver teams have since corrected the issues and stabilised the service. We are now monitoring the service for stability. Next update will follow at circa 15:00

As part of the efforts to resolve the issue, we are having to temporarily disable external access to SAMIS on the web. If you are currently off campus, you will be unable to access SAMIS on the Web without connecting via a VPN. If you do not have a VPN setup, please contact the Service Desk to assist you.
