We are working to apply emergency security updates to affected University systems as quickly as possible. We are pleased to confirm that Nextcloud (files.bath.ac.uk) is available again. However, the required updates are not yet available or ready to be applied to every affected system.

Some services will therefore remain unavailable at the start of the working day on Thursday 22 October while this urgent work continues.

The following workaround is available:

• Wake on LAN: This service is unavailable, meaning some users working remotely will be unable to wake their University desktop computers. Where possible, use a virtual desktop service such as UniDesk or AdminDesk.

This work is being undertaken as a priority to protect University systems and data. Affected services will be restored as soon as the relevant security updates can be safely applied and tested.
