Windows 11 - New Sign-In Experience Rollout

The University will begin a phased rollout of a new sign-in experience for compatible Windows 11 laptops from 1 June 2026, starting with DDaT staff, followed by a wider rollout from 15 June 2026.
Users will be prompted to set up a PIN at sign-in, with the option to use fingerprint or facial recognition where supported. Password sign-in will remain available as a backup.

Network - Planned Outage in Eastwood

A network switch serving the Eastwood student accomodation area (Woodland Court, Quads, Marlborough, Solsbury, Eastwood, and Esther Parkin) will be restarted as part of scheduled maintenance to maintain service performance and reliability.
