A security update will be applied to the University’s campus firewalls. During the maintenance, there will be two brief internet outages (each up to 2 minutes) affecting on-campus and some off-campus locations, after which connectivity should return to normal.

We are replacing end-of-life Network (Ethernet & Wi-Fi) equipment in this location to improve connectivity, security, and enable new features. Users may experience brief interruptions (around 1 minute) to both wired and Wi-Fi connections during this upgrade.

GitHub Enterprise (github.bath.ac.uk) will be unavailable during a planned upgrade on 27 January 2026 between 07:30 and 09:00. This upgrade ensures the platform remains up to date, secure, and supported, and users will see a maintenance page while the work is carried out.

We will be carrying out planned maintenance on the University’s internet connection to improve network reliability.
