Maintenance

Power maintenance is taking place in this location. During this work, all power will be unavailable, including networking equipment, resulting in a loss of Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity for the duration of the maintenance. This work is being undertaken by Campus Infrastructure.

We will be replacing end-of-life network equipment in this location to improve the security, reliability, and performance of wired and wireless network services.

During the upgrade, users in affected areas may experience brief interruptions to Ethernet (wired) and Wi‑Fi connectivity, typically lasting around 1 minute. VoIP telephones may also briefly disconnect or restart while the work is completed.

We are replacing end-of-life Network (Ethernet & Wi-Fi) equipment in this location to improve connectivity, security, and enable new features. Users may experience brief interruptions (around 1 minute) to both wired and Wi-Fi connections during this upgrade, and VoIP phones may reboot during this time.

The REDCap server will be briefly restarted during this maintenance window as part of essential system maintenance. The system will be unavailable for a few minutes while the restart is completed.

This work helps ensure the continued security, stability, and reliability of the service by keeping the underlying platform up to date with the latest patches and improvements.

We will be carrying out planned maintenance on the SPSS/AMOS licence service to update and migrate the underlying licensing platform.

Following this maintenance window, the existing SPSS 29 and AMOS 31 network licences will cease to function. Users who require continued access should use the replacement licence codes.

Updated licence codes have already been made available via Secure Downloads and retain the same access permissions as the previous versions.

Due to quarterly software and security updates to the underlying service infrastructure, Nextcloud (files.bath.ac.uk) will be briefly unavailable during this maintenance window.

This maintenance includes a platform upgrade and server restart to ensure the service remains secure, stable, reliable, and fully supported. A maintenance page will be displayed while the work is in progress.
