Support and security updates for Windows 10 on University-managed devices will end on 13 October 2026.

From 13 October, access will be restricted on University-managed Windows 10 devices that have not been upgraded, replaced, or granted an approved exception. Affected users will see instructions explaining how to request support.

Further restrictions may be applied from 27 October, including blocking network access or requiring laptops to be returned to DDaT.

If you use a University-managed Windows 10 device, please follow the upgrade notification displayed on the device and take action before 13 October.

These restrictions are necessary to protect University systems and data from the security risks associated with unsupported devices.
