We are carrying out a further phase of our on-campus file storage migration from our existing systems to a new storage solution. This work may cause planned, temporary disruption to departmental research file storage.

During the maintenance windows, the following X Drive locations will be synchronised and may be unavailable between 07:30 and 09:00:

• 2 November 2026: X:\PoLIS\ResearchProjects
• 3 November 2026: X:\IPR\ResearchProjects
• 4 November 2026: X:\BIMI\ResearchProjects
• 5 November 2026: X:\Economics\ResearchProjects
• 6 November 2026: X:\Social & Policy Sciences\ResearchProjects

During each migration, access to files within the affected location may be temporarily unavailable. Users will continue to access the files from the same X Drive location once the work is complete.

This migration moves departmental research data onto a modern, fully supported storage platform, providing encrypted data storage and improving the reliability, security, and long-term sustainability of University file storage services.
