Following a successful pilot within DDaT, the Rapid7 vulnerability management agent will be deployed to selected systems within Library, Teaching and Learning, and Marketing and Digital as part of the University’s cyber security improvement programme.

The agent installation will take place during the week commencing 26 January 2026 (likely Tuesday 27 January) and is not expected to cause any user impact. An initial automated vulnerability scan will run shortly after installation, followed by the creation of Rapid7 dashboards to allow teams to review ongoing scan results. This work will improve visibility of security vulnerabilities, support regular patching, and strengthen the University’s overall security posture, with guidance and support provided by DDaT throughout.
