GitHub (https://github.bath.ac.uk/) will undergo a quarterly upgrade to version 3.15.x. The service will be unavailable during the upgrade. This ensures the platform remains secure and up to date for all users.

To maintain the IT storage servers that support our data, a brief period of service unavailability is expected during this maintenance window.

The primary services affected will be:

In addition, the following services may also experience temporary disruption:

• Business Objects (client software)
• CMS
• MPS (Managed Print Service)
• SAMIS (client software)
• SCCM
• Secure Downloads
• Web (www.bath.ac.uk)

During this maintenance, a faulty power module in the 4ES Data Centre will be replaced. While there is no planned power outage, server owners should be aware that power to the Data Centre will be at risk during the change window.

Due to maintenance to maintain network security and stability, there will be brief losses of network connectivity in this location. Desk phones may also restart.

Due to essential maintenance to enhance network security and stability, there may be brief interruptions to both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. Disruption should be minimal, as devices will be moved between access points during the upgrade. However, some users may experience a short outage at some point during the process.

Due to software and security updates to the underlying service infrastructure, remote access provided by Beyond Trust Remote Support (Bomgar / support.bath.ac.uk) will not be available during this upgrade.

DecisionTime will undergo a certificate renewal to maintain secure access. New logins may be briefly unavailable during the change, and existing sessions may be logged out. The disruption is expected to last less than 10 minutes.
