iTrent (including ESS and MSS) will be unavailable while we carry out a planned upgrade to support a mandatory update required for the next financial year. This update includes important payroll and legislative changes (such as national insurance and rate code updates). OneDrive - Storage Quota Update

We are making an update to OneDrive storage limits in line with new University standards. Default storage allocations will be set to 50 GB for staff and 500 GB for students. This change increases the default OneDrive storage allocation for both staff and students, providing more space for files and reducing the need to request additional storage.

Nimbus HPC - GPU Upgrade

We will be carrying out planned maintenance on the Nimbus HPC cluster with work expected to last up to 30 hours.
This maintenance is required because some of the current GPU hardware used by Nimbus is being retired by our cloud provider. To ensure continued availability and long-term support, we will be upgrading the cluster to newer, next-generation GPU nodes.

macOS - Self Service Upgrade (Self Service+)

We will begin a phased deployment of Self Service+ to managed macOS devices for staff and students. This update introduces a refreshed design, improved integration with macOS and Jamf Connect, and enhanced functionality for installing University-managed software.

File Storage - Phased Migration

We are carrying out a phased migration of on-campus file storage from our existing systems to new storage solution. This work will take place over several weeks and may cause planned, temporary disruptions to some shared file services.
This migration moves file storage onto a modern, fully supported platform, improving reliability, security, and long-term sustainability of shared file services.
Further updates will be provided as the migration progresses.
Panopto Scheduler - Brief Maintenance

We will be carrying out a short period of maintenance on the Panopto Scheduler to improve access for non-payroll staff. During this time, the Scheduler will be temporarily unavailable.
Once complete, non-payroll users (such as contractors or agency staff) will be able to access the Scheduler and schedule recordings where they are listed as a unit convenor or additional teacher.
SendSuite - Server Restart

Due to maintenance to maintain network security and stability, there may be brief losses of network connectivity in the following locations:

- Solsbury (Student Accommodation)
Disruption should be minimal, as devices will be moved between access points during the upgrade. However, some users may experience a short outage at some point during the process.
TOPdesk - Brief Maintenance

TOPdesk will be carrying out maintenance to their internal tooling during this time.
This update does not directly affect the University’s TOPdesk environment, and no impact to service availability is expected.
However, as the work is taking place within TOPdesk’s wider datacentre infrastructure, there is a small possibility that access to TOPdesk may be briefly interrupted for up to 10 minutes during the maintenance window.
