We are replacing end-of-life network equipment in this location to enhance connectivity, strengthen security, and enable new features. During this upgrade, users may experience brief interruptions (around one minute) to Ethernet (wired) and Wi-Fi (wireless) connections.
If you experience any issues with your phone following the change, please email telephone@bath.ac.uk with your building and room number. The Operations team will then arrange to visit and reconfigure your phone.

Xerte - Upgrade

Xerte will be upgraded on 16 December 2025 and will be unavailable for most of the day. The upgrade introduces accessibility improvements, bug fixes, and new features that enhance the creation and delivery of online learning content.
Key highlights include new accessibility themes, improved screen-reader support, an updated progress bar, a chapters option for grouping content, a new resources area, and a new Interactive Table page type.

File Storage - Phased Migration

We are carrying out a phased migration of on-campus file storage from our existing systems to new storage solution. This work will take place over several weeks and may cause planned, temporary disruptions to some shared file services.
This migration moves file storage onto a modern, fully supported platform, improving reliability, security, and long-term sustainability of shared file services.

OneDrive - Storage Quota Update

Nimbus HPC - GPU Upgrade

We will be carrying out planned maintenance on the Nimbus HPC cluster with work expected to last up to 30 hours.
This maintenance is required because some of the current GPU hardware used by Nimbus is being retired by our cloud provider. To ensure continued availability and long-term support, we will be upgrading the cluster to newer, next-generation GPU nodes.
